Hello Monday…finding the beauty in the hard

Hello winner!!!

First things first…congrats to the winner of the Favorite Things giveaway last week:

#204:  JILL SNETHEN

{I sent you an email so make sure you check it, Jill!}

That was so fun and I wish I could gift you all with those goodies.  Y’all make doing these fun and there will be more to come, don’t you worry {wink}.

Hello fire

While my blog life was fun last week, my real life was kinda rough.  Nothing bad has happened at all….just a hard parenting season.  You know how you go through times that feel like you’re being tested by fire?  I felt that way last week a little.  My kids are small and needy and I just don’t have all that they need {cause they need Jesus just like me}.   Reminding myself, sometimes on a minute-by-minute basis, that He has everything we need and invites me to let Him renew my strength.

Hello girl time

I’ve been getting a lot of this lately and I’m soaking it up.  For the past 6 weeks or so I’ve been training for a 5k with 2 other friends so we see each other about 3 times a week.  I can’t put into words how good that has been for my tired heart.  To just get out there in the cold air and breath hard, push our bodies and talk about life, good and bad…it’s like someone wrapped up a beautiful gift I didn’t know I needed and gave it to me.

We were just talking about this scene from What Women Want {love that movie!} so girls, this is for you. :)

    Praying for you, friend. I’m occasionally drowning over here, too, if that makes you feel better ;-) Last Monday was especially hard. But then Friday was like a gift. Cameron turned 13, Jonathan passed out of math to the next grade level, and that sweet stranger bought our lunch. I’m thankful for the hard times that throw greater light on the good times.

      Thank you, Kelly. I think of you often…wondering how IN THE WORLD you do this and picturing you trotting through your day happily. :) I tell myself it’s not really like that all the time, but it’s always good to hear that I’m not alone. And yay for Fridays like that…wow!

    I hope you have a great week!

    Finding beauty in the everyday is what I want to say hello to as well! This week we are saying hello to more snow and cold weather – which means more time to make rainbow loom bracelets and play tea party with my kids – fun! I hope you have a great week!

    Love that clip!!!!! My runs with you girls are a highlight of my week. And I’m mad about strengthening our friendships. It’s beautiful!
